Thin Slices of Behavior: Accuracy and Boundaries
How accurate are our snap judgments of others? I will discuss the accuracy of judgments based on brief observations or thin slices of behavior as well as the boundary conditions for accuracy. Evidence will be presented for the role of cultural context and "nonverbal dialects".
